Uuuups - I think it's high time...

Hello to all!
After I had already the chance to meet a few of you in person, I think it's high time to introduce myself in here... 8) :D

Well, I became Fan of HolyHell like the most of us (I guess) because of MANOWAR.
Although I missed unfortunately nearly the complete performance of HolyHell at the MANOWAR concert 2007 in the Schleyerhalle Stuttgart (they started earlier than planned...), the little part I saw, was able to make me really curiously.

Their Maxi convinced me completely and I could't await it to see HolyHell live at MCF2007.
There is only one word to say to their performance: WOW! :]

All goes well together! And Maria's voice! For me the best female voices at all! No Nightwish and no Within Temptation is able to keep with!

And then MCF 2008...... Greeeeeeeaaaaaat!

It was a MUST to buy there their new girlie: :D

Can't await their new album!

Regards and hugs to all of you!

- Carmen

8) 8) 8) :D

Well, you won't believe it, but the people in the UK seem to be much more "nice and polite" to people who are wearin' too "small" clothes as the people in Germany... 8) :D

I asked two "brothers" in the House of death Forum for a translation of "looking like a Leberwurst (liver sausage)" or "looking like a Presswurst (cheesehead)"... 8)

Here is the answer from the one of the UK:

Hi Carmen

mmmmm i think over here we would say it looks as if they have been poured into thier skin tight clothes, or Squeezed into them, or thier clothes have been sprayed on !!

We would describe the belly hanging over the top of jeans as a " muffin top " .... as it looks the the top of a muffin !!

I dont think we have a literal translation for the liver saussage !!

Hope that helps sister !! xx

But let's wait for the answer of my Galician "brother" - he wants to ask somebody who may know a translation...

his answer:

Hi!

aw... difficult one... I don't think there's a direct English equivalent, but I'll ask.
A friend of mine working here is bilingual in German and English (she's German), so I'll ask her and see if she can think of something... But it's a hard translation!

Give me some time and I'll get you something meaningful

Now I am very curiously.... :D

Yeah! 8) :D It is really a quiz!

This is the answer I got from my Galician brother today:

Hi Carmen!

Ok, the translation is quite difficult, 'cos there's no such expression in English. There's only two things you could say in some circumstances:

"too look like a chopped liver", but this is being poorly dressed, "look like shit", but not necessarily in tight clothes. Plus, 90% of the time this is used referring to old ladies. It's an insult old ladies use between them!

or

"muffin top" (i.e. "oh look at that muffin top"), which applies to all those girls who wear a top or clothes so tight all the meat bumps out... But then again this is only used with women, and normally in reference to tops or tshirts only. Also, this may be only used in Ireland; I don't know...

Well, you can always translate it as simply "wearing far too tight clothes", "wearing unfitting tight clothes" or something like that...

I'll keep investigating!!

Maybe we should export our phrase "looking like a liver sausage" or "looking like a cheese head" into the UK !

(Even Pocher was searchin' for that phrase (Presswurst), as he met at "Wetten Dass" Mariah Carey.... :D ;) )
